OTK boots, also love these and these| Express black ruffle dress (on sale, only $36!) | Hat | Mac Lipstick | Bracelet | Watch | Necklace the samesimilar | Tory Burch Handbag

I have been wearing these boots over and over again! I was not quite sold on the trend of OTK (over-the-knee) boots until I tried them on for myself. They go with quite literally anything and look so slimming. If you are petite like me (I am only 5’3″) then you will love these as well. Anything that gives me a little bit of height, I will take it. Really, go compare my Instagram (@darlinglittlethingblog) photos to where I am wearing booties and these OTK boots. It’s a world difference. Okay, now I am going to stop sounding like an infomercial and give you some useful tips here.

Does one size fit all?
Unfortunately not, and when I buy my boots I always have to look at the shaft size. This is because most boots don’t fit my calves right so I always look for stretchy material. This is important if you want your boots to be comfortable and stay in place. I would say the stretchy material would be perfect because they hug you in all the right places and will stay put all day long.

Does suede hold up well?
From personal experience suede does require a bit more care but I actually prefer suede over leather now. Or velvet, so pretty and definitely a trendy material this year. I think suede looks more elegant and definitely a lot more comfortable.

Block heel or stiletto?
Depending on the look you are going for, choose one or the other. I think the stiletto heel gives a bit more beautiful silhouette, but a block heel is more casual. I wanted my OTK boots to be more casual so I can wear them around town or out to dinner. Block heel is also a lot more comfortable.

I hope these tips were helpful to you and let me know what your favorite pair of boots is!
